A History of Squegg

We get asked frequently where our name came from. The concept behind the brand derived from the fact we are ‘Anything But Ordinary™’. We make the ordinary extraordinary. We are different in our approach, different in how we work and different in how we connect with our clients. We have a very down to earth approach so we can build relationships, which are the backbone of our business.

Ben Sanson, our Creative Director came up with the idea of a square egg as he jotted down things that were ‘not of the norm’. After some serious pondering he decided on the name, picturing ideas hatching from this square egg. As square egg didn’t roll of the tongue easily it was shortened into one lovely word, Squegg. And Squegg Brand Consultants were born, a branding and graphic design studio that are Anything But Ordinary™.

We started in 2011 with the focus that we want to be different to the other agencies that promise the earth and then fail to deliver. We didn’t want to produce run-of-the-mill design and branding – you can get that anywhere. We wanted to treat each business as unique – just like a square egg! It was important to make sure our clients know this. Having worked in big agencies before we know there is a better way – the human touch!
