Squegg have enlisted a graphic designer from the Teesside University Graduate Scheme to join the team.
The Teesside University graduate scheme allows for the graduate to gain valuable work experience within an organisation for 12 weeks, this will then allow them to boost their CV and future work prospects.
Andrew Taws successfully completed a bachelors of arts degree in Graphic Design at the University, and joined Squegg from the 12th of January and will be with us until 1st of April. During his time at Squegg he will be working on a number of projects which will allow him to use the knowledge which he learned during his time at university, as well as learning new skills which he can then use in future employment.
Andrew has been interested in design from a young age and his main interests within the industry are Typography, Editorial and Branding.
“I choose to take part in the graduate scheme as I was finding it very difficult to gain employment since I left university. Many of the companies I was applying for suggested that I needed more work experience to be successful. Once I decided to take part in the scheme my first choice was Squegg as I wanted to work within a brand agency, and thank you guys for taking part in the graduate scheme and helping me gain work experience”.
Ben Sanson, Creative Director said
“I strongly believe in helping graduates in seeking experience to help with the development. The Teesside University graduate scheme gives the graduate an opportunity to work in a more commercial environment and work on live projects to enhance their skills. I am looking forward to having Andrew on board and working with him on projects, including one exciting one for Squegg that will hopefully be rolled out in the first quarter of 2016”.
